In January of 2014 I bought this Beehive.  I saw it at a vintage clothing store and I died. DEAD….KILLED OVER…okay not really but kinda..in a way.  My heart fluttered with ideas and possibilities.  I knew I had to do a session built around this awesomeness.  I mean…look at it…..it rocks! OH MY GEE!  I kept this little treasure secret for months as I plotted what I would do.  I ended up deciding to do something simple but fun……What a better way to kick off summer than a vintage beach blanket shoot.

So I called up my friend T’Ann who is a spectacular makeup artist, and was like “Hey T’ darling, I have this crazy idea…wanna do it with me.”  And she was all like “ummmmm…yeah!!!!”…so then I hunted down a model with the face I was looking for it and it turned out to be this lovely gal.  Mariah was super, mega fabulous to work with and so darling.    Then I was on the prowl for the most perfect vintage bathing suit.  I mean let’s get real…how freaking fabulous is this bathing suit?  Off the shoulder ruffle top and high waisted polka dot bottom…it’s like happiness!  And let me not forget to mention this shoot seriously was a breeze to shoot and the weather was spectacular and the bugs minimal. (HUGE FEAT for this location).

I love when I have ideas and they come out just like I wanted.  Yay for ideas! Yay for beehives! Yay for summer!
