This was such a fun family portrait session in a cute little Christmas tree lot, just outside of Salt Lake City.   The girls were amazing even though it was freezing outside.

Prior to the session, the gorgeous momma, Shelby was struggling to find outfits.  So I went with her to the mall and helped her pick up out all the outfits.   She was struggling to find something she liked to match what she wanted her girls to wear and then I taught her the secret to loving your family portraits….that is to always pick out the mommas outfit first.  So that’s what we did.  We set out to find something she would feel comfortable in and that would exude the feeling she wanted her portraits to portray.  Once we found her outfit, we picked out the girls and then Tycen’s last.

I am so grateful for this family.  I have been photographing them for years and I feel so honored they keep coming back to me.
