I have no doubt in the world that God didn’t bring these two together for a reason.   Kamille lost her husband Clint to cancer.  Cody lost his wife Lisa to cancer.   Kamille and Cody didn’t know each other when they were both going through the refiners fire.   However something crazy happened that they would find out a few weeks after they met.

Kamille is a runner and she would run races for Clint while he was fighting cancer.   Lisa was also a runner.  At one point during her cancer, she was in remission and she decided to run a 1/2 marathon…the same 1/2 marathon Kamille decided to run for Clint.   Kamille and Lisa ran the race the entire time nearly side by side and didn’t know it.   After both Lisa and Clint passed away and Kamille and Cody started dating a picture was found of Kamille running the race and her children joined in as she was finishing, Clint in the background taking a picture of her…next to her in the picture was Lisa, with her children joining in to finish the race with her as well.  Lisa finished the race only a few seconds ahead of Kamille.   When they found these pictures they knew it was both Clint and Lisa giving Cody and Kamille their blessing to spend the rest of their lives raising their children together.

 

When we did Cody and Kamille session we were under a time crunch because their engagement wasn’t long and we only had a matter of weeks to get this done.   However that day it was SO rainy.  So we decided on a location in Downtown Salt Lake City that has some covered alleyways and some great ‘gritty’ walls.   It turned out fantastic even if there was rain.
